@isibell The "standard" blend mode to use is multiply. But with multiply, I have the problem that you need different opacities depending on the underlying color. Like 50% is great for colors in the middle, but it's too little for dark colors and way too much for light ones.
I love drawing so much once I have a direction and can learn how to get better. It isn't easy, it can be frustrating, but it's so satisfying to see my visions take shape through my own hands and that makes it all worth it
