I switched from Noctalia to DankMaterialShell on my NUC which I use through a small and very wide touch display. It's less customizable, but it feels more mature. For instance, DMS has display settings out of the box, and if a widget's popover doesn't fit (which easily happens on such a small display), you can scroll it. The settings window was outright unusable because it opened with a fixed size which prevented me from accessing the entire lower half.
