@niacdoial There were still some things missing in the drawing which are there now. 
The connector is part of a clamping mechanism. There an identical port on the opposite side so that accessories can clamp onto the strip. You can see now that there's a bracket which does exactly that. I also added a belt so the bags are more stable.
