This is a good example why I need a gradient blur filter tool.
Right now you can only have a blurry and a sharp version of the image and fade between the two. It's not the same as a decreasing blur.

I can see why artists choose wrong angles or a high FOV to show more of the body. But on the other hand, I'm extremely happy with this because it feels so immersive and I prefer immersion.

My handling of this perspective got better once I stopped looking at references and just observed what I see instead. A lot of references put the "eyes" higher up so you see more of the body, use a larger viewing angle for the same reason, or put the eyes closer to the crotch area for a certain NSFW type of art.
