So I installed Niri with Noctalia, the setup CachyOS ships. Really nice how easily I could customize it for the display, but unlike Gnome it doesn't handle the small vertical size well and that's especially a problem in the control panel where I simply can't access the bottom half. I didn't have any of these kind of problems with Gnome. The only reason I won't switch now is that I rarely need the control panel, but when I do, I'll have to switch to the large display.
