What browsers are doing is clipping the objects first, then applying the anti-aliasing on each of them.

What they should be doing is rendering the objects in the masked layer, then clipping and anti-aliasing that result.

It's really annoying that browsers use very dumb anti-aliasing for SVG masks. If I have a masked layer with overlapping objects, then the colors of all objects overlapping will bleed through along the mask's edge. It looks shitty as fuck.

I thought I had solved the Node heap out of memory error by optimizing our database queries, but turns out that wasn't it.
Even more mysteriously, yesterday afternoon when probably nobody was using the application, it crashed 3 times in a row in nice intervals of 10 minutes. What the fuck could be causing this???
