Your ears have been destroyed by stray EEEEEEEEEs 31 times. You patted the Volpeon 154 times, which places you in the top 5%! You have been nommed 82 times. You called him a goat, didn't you? You couldn't resist fluffy wyvern hugs 21 times. You found the undocumented mute feature.
Mindboggling how this trainwreck became the go-to design for platforms aspiring to be the "townsquare of the internet". That's one fucked up townsquare.
Sucks that I'm now missing out on useful quote posts. But that's just how it is with Twitter-likes, you can never curate things exactly how you want, it's always too extreme or unreliable.
I'm glad you can disable quote posts in your feed, because otherwise there's a decent chance I'd have dropped the whole platform. Yes, I can deal with scam and annoying people just fine, but chain posts I read like "If you see this, post . If you see this, post . If you see this, post . If you see this, post ...." drive me insane.
@foxis It does There's one for each major section linked via <link rel="alternate"... so extensions such as Want My RSS for Firefox will show them, but I also added an RSS button to the header in each section now to make them easier to spot.
I wish microblogging wasn't stuck with the Twitter way of things (i.e. "let's throw away any kind of scoping except for direct communication and then bolt on features that try (and fail) to fix the weaknesses from this approach")
