I keep tripping over the fact that CSS calc() and CSS variables without units don't mix. There must always be a unit, even if it's 0rem.

I removed Preact from my website again. Not because I dislike it, but because it turns out that Astro components give me enough flexibility and the few client-side interactions I need are more easily implemented with plain JavaScript rather than Preact components.
