Volume knob? 2 touch buttons on a super thin strip under the touch screen. Climate control? Best you get is adjusting the temperature with the same kind of buttons, but you can't turn it off or change other settings related to it without the touch screen.
I got to be passenger in a car using a touch screen and touch buttons for everything and it was absolutely horrible to use. Again, as a passenger, who can afford to not look at the street. You know, the thing drivers should pay 100% attention to.
I can't say much about the Discord UI changes because I don't really use it, but it fixed one thing I noticed recently: The inbox was part of the channel header, which implies that it's only related to the current channel rather than the whole server. Now it's in the titlebar above where it implies the function better.
For a complete rewrite of a project (new database schema, Vue SFCs instead of JSX), it's running surprisingly well on the first try. I bet I jinxed it now.
I stumbled across AnswerOverflow, which seems to be like StackOverflow but generated from Discord servers (which have to be added to the site by the admins). It's good, I wouldn't have gotten an answer for my problem otherwise
