@Flaky It's not even just Bluesky vs fedi or anything else I'm talking about. I'm just astonished every time a platform pulls a bad move and everyone goes into full crisis mode, lamenting how much it sucks and how much is destroyed. Discord deleting a server and suddenly a lot of knowledge is gone. People uploading their files exclusively to the cloud and losing them because they got banned for some reason. You'd think people would learn after all the times it did happen before, but no.
Is it really such a difficult concept to be aware of risks even when they seem highly improbable now and being prepared for them so they won't hurt you as badly as if you were unprepared?
@a1ba As a child, I one got a set of walkie talkies. They had a barrel connector socket for charging and one for headphones, both the same size. Guess where I inevitably put in the power connector
Everyone is complaining about the nonstop rain we've been having for 2 days now. Not me. It's the perfect situation for comfy room lighting and cofe while getting cozy in front of the desk.
Google is so overly protective of the content it didn't even create, but then they also shit all over the creators of said content with an easily abusable copyright system that strongly favors big corpos
If I can't download the music to my disk, I won't use it. I can handle TV series becoming unavailable if I leave a streaming service (not like I couldn't still get it through other ways), but I won't let anybody take away my music
