@kyle_pegasus Yes, I know why they're mad and like I said, I'm also critical of Mozilla's direction. The AI switch doesn't doesn't negate all the wrong Mozilla keeps doing, but responding to a positive change with the same hostility as any negative one only sends one signal: that no matter what they do, people will complain. And if "being good" yields the same response as "being bad", but the latter makes them more money, then why even bother with the former?
@nytpu Same. The most game-changing mod I'm willing to use is Still Life, and only because it gives me vastly better worlds with new biomes while sticking with vanilla blocks.
I'm critical of Mozilla's overall direction, but the AI master switch is fine. It's not perfect, but it's miles ahead of all the other companies who just do things without asking while lying in your face. Don't forget who the real assholes are. Leaving them alone "because we can't expect any better from them" and attacking those who "should do better" (while already doing better) sends the wrong signal.
Yeah, I'm happy with this. I already had a full solution to load posts from both platforms and merge them into a unified timeline and the page got way too long. There's also the reality that people would rather see and interact with replies in their favorite app instead of my website where they can't really do anything, so links to the original posts are plenty.
