@squeakable I was part of a community quite a while ago which was founded as a forum, also had an IRC channel and later started an official Telegram channel. The IRC was pretty much unused by this point, and between Telegram and the forum you had a pretty good overlap. I think a cleaner split between multiple chat platforms makes sense, as you say.
A while ago I complained about Nautilus' lack of shortcut to / and I remember someone said you can just enter / in the address bar. I recently was in a situation where I wanted to select an icon for a panel item on my little Raspberry touchscreen where touch was the only available input method, which used to be easily doable because you just need to navigate some folders. Not this time, because there's no way to go to /usr/share/icons without a button allowing you to drop down to /. I literally had no way to do it without adding a keyboard.
I swear the way Gnome treats its users like idiots is infuriating and the only reason I use it is that a lot of their decisions happen to align with my tastes.
@lanodan Nvidia when they compare GPUs, or AMD talking about their datacenter thing and how many FLOPS it has. Apparently, if the floats are for AI being consistent doesn't matter
Companies must feel so smart when they make the FLOPS go up by snipping the precision in half because they're technically not lying, it's still floats. They just don't mean shit anymore
To be clear, this is overkill if you're just a small group of friends. I'd hardly call these groups "communities" so I thought I already excluded these, but evidently not.
Hmm, it's hard to find more expressions to draw for the wyv emojis. I don't want to add many redundant ones, and the other ones I can think of don't seem possible with that style :areon3VThink:
