I would have less trouble starting new art projects if it wasn't so annoying to open the program in the first place (I have to launch a whole instance of Windows 11 inside my Linux system and then start Affinity there)
I think a lot of the complexity of federation comes from the global space brainworms Twitter started. In a lot of cases, a federated identity and client-side handling would be good enough
