I frogor I had withheld a git update on my server because it messes up my repos. They must be accessible by a group instead of just user and they made some checks more strict so everything fails with "dubious ownership". And again, that was not a problem before. It worked just fine. And none of the advice out there about how to set up a shared bare repo fixes it.

I just realized that the code to generate buildings from a string template and randomize them is so universally useful I can throw away my road generation logic completely and just add templates for all possible tiles. That's easier to manage and I can even use the randomization feature to add trees or other things to the roads.
